Preparation
I have textured wall, Is that okay?
Wallpapers are designed to be installed on flat wall (level 5) but they can also work well with orange peel texture. Before installation we give a hard sanding to surfaces that don't meet this quality. We suggest applying skim coat on knockdown texture walls.
Is priming necessary before installation?
If the walls are already painted, primer is not required. However, if they have been recently skim coated, I recommend applying at least 2 coats of primer.
Should I remove everything from the wall?
We would appreciate it if you could do so for liability reasons, although we can manage most items as well.
Will you use something to protect the floor?
Yes, we use tarps to protect the floors during wallpaper installation and plastic during removal. We also wear shoe covers all the time..
Wallpaper Selection
Can you recommend a wallpaper store nearby?
Stores are quite uncommon and often have limited collections, so I prefer shopping online. I can provide the top websites for you.
Do I need to purchase the wallpaper?
Yes, you will need to buy the wallpaper, based on my measurements and calculations for the order.
What type of wallpaper is best for bathrooms?
For bathrooms and water closets, we suggest using traditional, paper or vinyl wallpaper due to moisture and humidity. These options are washable, and tend to lasts longer than a pre-pasted type.
Is Peel & Stick good quality?
No, we don’t recommend peel and stick wallcoverings. especially the cheap products from Amazon or Etsy. If you must use P&S because you’re renting, then ask my help for great products.
Other Things To Know
How long does wallpaper installation take?
The duration based on the job size and material. Typically, an accent wall takes
2 hours, a bathroom about 2-3 hours, a full room installation 4-5 hours.
What type of wallpaper paste do you use?
We use Roman 880 clear wallpaper paste. with only 2 natural ingredients!
It free from chemicals, it has no smell and safe to be in the room right after the installation.
What is the drying time?
We ask our clients wait at least 48 hrs before hang anything on the wall.
How to clean my wallpaper?
Most wallpapers are waterproof and can be cleaned with warm water. However some other types like grasscloth or textile are not washable. For these, use a dust remover or vacuum. Avoid chemicals as they can fade colors and damage the surface.
What is your schedule?
We're typically fully booked for 2 weeks in advance.
Can I pay Zelle?
